Diary of the Singing Lakes
Diary of the Singing Lakes was composed by my MA student Patrick Lee. He wrote it for himself and performed it many times in his inimitable way. It is basically a mimed tape piece, with some spoken sections. Its opening section ‘Boredom’, in particular, struck me as wholly original, and after Patrick left Keele I took it upon myself to learn the whole piece in order to perform it in Midland Music Theatre concerts.
